About William Alix Photography

I'm a French-American freelance photographer based in Paris, France. 

I studied cell biology, French literature and photojournalism at the University of Kansas, USA. Back in Paris in 1994, I worked as picture editor at AFP, then joined the AP as editor and photographer. Past wire agency collaborations also include UPI, covering French news, politics and fashion. I went freelance in 2001, working with Bayard Presse magazines, Marianne, l'Express, AP Images, Sipa Corporate, The Brand Union, ARTE...

I am represented by SIPA PRESS and CIRIC.
